True to Life Portraits
There are these landscapes, waves and rocks, where I tirelessly search to capture the fascinating and violent splendour. And then there are the 5600 islanders, by birth (les Belle-Îlois) or by choice (les Belle-Îliens), whom I live alongside and wish to pay tribute to. Recording what their faces say, eliciting their history and the threads of their lives. That is why for the last twelve years, I have given them the spotlight in my lens.
